Three Songs To The Head vol. 24

Hello and welcome back to Three Songs to the Head where we share three songs that moved us, three songs we love, three songs we can’t get out of our heads! Today, we’re featuring Will Sprott, Staxx Brothers and Wes Sp8. Enjoy!

Will Sprott is an unlikely hero. The dichotomy he exudes is, essentially, a keyhole in. He is calm, reserved, quiet, but his music is none of this. His guitar bright and sharp. His voice like a wave pool in the rain. And, perhaps most importantly, his new video for “Psychic Lady” is captivating. Watch it here:

The Staxx Brothers are a completely different animal altogether. A beautiful science experiment gone wrong. These folks are the doctors and nurses of something – love, perception, the ingredients for joy – but I may never be 100% sure. What’s important, though, is that they bring the energy in the room UP and for that they’re to be praised. This song excites!

WES SP8 creeped into my mind over time and I’m happy for it. His music gets better and better as the days go on and we’re excited for his new Rejection Letter EP. It’s reflective, stripped down, classic and bold. Any of the four songs are worth highlighting here, but we’ll bring to light “From us formed us” which has drops of Leonard Cohen tones, “Karma Police” tones and something all his own.
