We slept in tents on the shore of Whiskey Lake. Dean the Marine had a brain tumor. Frozen in shock, we stood around and witnessed him scream in agony as his head exploded. Finally someone threw him in a pick-up truck and off they sped. We could see the rooster tail of dust for a mile or so. Bioluminescent eye
That sees by the shine
Of its own light. Lies
Blind me. I am the seventh human sense
And my stepchild,
Consequence;
Scientists can't find me.

Glamour
Was my image then—
Remind me:
The awful fall up off all fours
From the forest
To the hours…
