One Super-Important Question For Kithkin

Kithkin is playing Bumbershoot Sunday at 11:45AM. Known for their woodsy-themed performances and wild, energetic stage presence, Kithkin has been wowing audiences of late. Our Andrew Harris decided it was high time to ask them one super-important question…

Andrew Harris: So, how does Kithkin prepare for a performance?

Bigfoot Wallace (Spokescreature): There are several small rituals that make up our great Pre-Ritual Ritual Ritual. We each take part in our individual exercises and pray to our own deities before coming together to pay homage to the greater Pantheon of Rhythmic Gods.

Spirit Treader takes up his Axe of Bass Power and checks that it is calibrated correctly to interact with the rest of the tribe for the ceremony. He also triple-checks his vocal chords to ensure maximum yelling power.

Shredder connects his power snakes into his Six String Destiny Shatterer and checks that his Foot Stompers, each one representing one of the gods, is set correctly as according to the position of the Moon and Venus.

Tin Woodsman beats his Ancient Skins of The Elders and tightens or loosens them as foretold by the prophecy. He also correctly positions his woodblock and cowbell to match the position of Orion’s Belt.

Bigfoot Wallace places his Elephant Tusk Ivory Table and Altar of Heavenly Noise on their respective stands and calibrates his Wand of Holy Wavelengths to match the mood of the audience.

Once all of this completed we all stand in front of our monitors and tell the sound guy when we can hear everything.
