Brett Hamil: A Boy and his Wife

Comedian Brett Hamil is in the middle of a hilarious race to the finish line. He is posting a new audio sketch every day leading up to the recoding dates of his next album, slated for Nov. 6-8.

The Monarch will be featuring one of these posts per week as the recording date approaches. This week it’s, “A Boy and his Wife.”

Brett says, “I chose this one because it’s got a lot of things I hate/love to make fun of about Hollywood rom-coms: a completely impossible premise built around a deeply amoral conceit, held together with slick editing and an all-knowing voiceover and relying on lazily thrown-together platitudes to sell itself. So, y’know, a typical Hollywood trailer.”

Enjoy!
