I recently traveled to San Francisco with my lovely girlfriend to enjoy the city’s food, friendly people, and warm atmosphere. What I didn’t expect to see was the plethora of murals. Below are a few dozen shots we took of the many bright and colorful paintings from the city’s streets (especially Clarion Alley), billboards and restaurants.Â

In the world of art, I, once in a while, come across a line or idea that I wish I had thought of first. Well, many years before I had the chance, Walt Whitman came up with the line, “I contain multitudes!” With this theory in mind, I present to you, “Park Place”, a video shot and edited by Robb Benson, featuring Ksusha Ovchinnikova, Tiffany Pruitt, Sean De Tore, Annie Price, Robb Benson, Darla Rae Barry Benson and myself. We are all wearing wigs and doing our best to be strange in a friendly way – all while drinking a particular brand […]
Movie Review: Will Play For Beer

Prominently displayed in the new movie about Seattle music (and creativity), Will Play for Beer (directed and produced by Carrine Fisher), is a map by Rachel Ratner and Keith Whiteman that charts the interconnectivity of many local Seattle bands. And the map is growing! It has been on display at Capitol Hill Block Party and Bumbershoot, as well as the EMP, and people have added more bands, more connections to it. And it will continue to expand via its web site.Â

Self 23″ x 31″ – acrylic, aerosol, pen & marker (sold) Is it possible to see the self without losing it first? Is it possible to see anything without the filter of the I? What causes me to believe that a regular moment in nature is a spectacular event put on just for me? Do you know the sight, when the wind blows just so, lifting and twisting the leaves of a tree to show off the normally shaded underbelly’s of it’s green leaves? When that wind causes a sort of flicker, shimmer and dance in this sudden gust?

Hanging on the western and southern walls of Zeitgeist Café off Jackson Street are 11 black and white framed photographs by Seattle artist Colette-Yasi Naraghi. I ventured in to see the work, accompanied by my lovely mother (visiting from the Boston-area), on a sunny Monday morning after a biscuit breakfast.Â
