Talking Interstellar

I thought Interstellar was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen—in fact about an hour in, I’d taken my wrist watch off, started smelling it, and playing with it as if it was a bird. To me—and I read, write and edit work every day—it felt like the Nolans threw millions of dollars at a half-baked short story they wrote over the weekend. Park, whose research has focused mostly on developing strategies for searching […]
Sports Talk

Shaun Scott and I love to talk art, movies and sports. Things get particularly spirited when we talk sports because children’s games played by adults in physical prime are something we’ve loved ever since we were kids on the east coast. So, here is one in our continued series, Sports Talk. This time, focused around an old picture of Michael Jordan that Shaun dug up.
One Super Important Question For DJ Bobbi Rich
Tuesday, October 28, 2014 9:13 — 1 Comment
Bobbi Rich is a lovely party animal. She is the host and creator of the fabulous show, Hangin Tuff, which brings bands into a nautical-themed, Pee-Wee’s Playhouse-style taping where Bobbi throws plastic crabs at them, offers the show’s signature Hangin Tuff juice and, generally, parties down. THIS is all why we had to ask her one Super Important Question.Â
Three Super Important NBA Questions for Shaun Scott (Sports Talk)

Filmmaker and writer, Shaun Scott, is a Laker fan. He grew up in New York City and now lives in Seattle. He’s also one of my favorite people to talk sports with. With the start of the 2014-2015 NBA season starting Tuesday, I thought it best to ask him a few important questions about the Sonics, the Thunder and post-ice ages.Â

We had a chance to ask Spear some questions about her background, her goals and the election, which you can read here.

Siren is a new dating app invented by Seattle’s Susie Lee (pictured above with Bill Clinton). Siren, she says, is “inspired by real life dynamics. There are a few key principles: people can’t have fun if they don’t feel safe; women value personal agency in physical and digital space, and both men and women want opportunities for hints of personalities to shine to discover each other.”
